TWC 411: Principles of Visual Communication Final Project: Local Infographic
The work:
This project was to demonstrate and develop the ability to research and articulate the results into an attractive but functional infographic. This included researching the library and the value it adds to the community beyond what is already present. This included online research through various government sites and the library website itself. This is also included in person research visiting both local library branches since this was available.
Written communication Is enhanced by personal knowledge of the writer as well as an understanding of the community being serviced. This was primary development point in this assignment. Thoughtfully understanding the target audience is a large value to effective writing. To ensure that this is done effectively a peer review or discussion was a valuable tool used in the production of this graphic. Style points are important but if the information is not displayed in an attractive and understandable view it might as well not be written, as Norman says in his books on design. (Norman, 2013)
